Rihanna’s Puma Creeper sneakers went live on Puma.com at 12:30 a.m. today and are already completely sold out. The sneakers were offered in three colorways — black-and-white, beige and black with a gum sole.
Puma first offered the sneakers for pre-sale on Puma.com on Sept. 14. That selection sold out in three hours. There was also a pop-up shop in New York at 312 Bowery from Sept. 15-17, where customers could purchase a limited number of the sneakers early.
Today, Rihanna posted a photo on Instagram sharing the news that the three colorways had already sold out on Puma.com. The sneakers are still available at select retailers, and more releases are to come through November 2016.
The Creeper style, created by Rihanna with input from menswear brand Mr. Completely, takes inspiration from London and New York’s ‘80s punk bands. It’s an update on the classic Puma Suede style, which was originally embraced by athletes in the ‘70s and then by punk bands and skaters in the ‘80s.
It’s unclear whether Puma.com will restock these particular styles.
