Rihanna’s first style from her collection for Puma dropped yesterday — and sold out in three hours. The Puma Creeper style, created by Rihanna with input from menswear brand Mr. Completely, is an update on Puma’s classic Suede sneaker.
The limited-edition shoes became available yesterday on Puma.com and will be also be at an exclusive pop-up shop in New York, at 312 Bowery Street, starting today, Sept. 15 through Sept. 17 — unless they sell out earlier. At the pop-up shop, customers can purchase a limited number of the sneakers, as well as two more September release colorways.
The Creeper style takes inspiration from London and New York’s ’80s punk bands. It updates the classic Puma Suede style, which was originally embraced by athletes in the ’70s and then by punk bands and skaters in the ’80s. Rihanna appears with rapper Travi$ Scott in the campaign images.
Rihanna took to Instagram yesterday to announce that the sneakers had sold out.
The black-and-white style will be available on Sept. 18 at retailers that include Opening Ceremony and select Six:02 locations and Puma stores. The first three colors of the Creeper, including the black-and-white, will be available through Puma.com and retailers worldwide on Sept. 25. More releases are to come through November 2016.
The Puma pop-up shop’s hours are Tuesday 12 p.m.-5 p.m. and Wednesday-Thursday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
