How To Get The Balmain x H&M Collection

Balmain is bringing high fashion to High Street retailer H&M, and if you want to shop this release, it might be a wise idea to wear a practical pair of sneakers, as there could be some major lines and crowds.
The hype has been building since the fashion show last month in New York, which spotlighted “Balmain Army” favorites Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Bella Hadid and more. The show also featured a performance by the Backstreet Boys.
The collection hit stores today (Nov. 5), and customers were able to begin shopping at 8 a.m. Designer Olivier Rousteing took cues from his four years at the house, and the footwear was particularly similar to his high-end designs.

H&M has collaborated with dozens of designers and style icons in the past, including Alexander Wang, Karl Lagerfeld, Isabel Marant, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Madonna, David Beckham and more.
This collaboration is picking up particular momentum thanks to Balmain’s major social media presence and Rousteing’s visibility. Ahead of the Paris Fashion Week show, Rousteing stepped out with Jenner and Hadid, who were wearing runway looks before they debuted on the runway.
And after the show, all the models wore straight-off-the-runway ensembles to the after-party. All of this has been heavily documented on Instagram, surely sparking the public’s interest in getting their hands on the more affordable collection.

Additionally, customers can shop the collection on H&M’s website starting at 8 a.m., however, the site was down thanks to the high volume of traffic. The message on the site also encourages shoppers to checkout right away once they add an item to the cart because items are not reserved. Now that the site is back up, we can see that most items, including the shoes, are already sold out.
