Two hours after tweeting that the tan Yeezy Boost 350s were available for purchase on Adidas.com, the athletic brand then tweeted that the shoes are sold out online in the U.S. Many reacted on Twitter, sharing photos of the waiting queue on the Adidas site.
This is the fourth colorway of the Yeezy Boost 350 to be released this year. Two colorways of the 750s as well as the 950 boots were also released this year. Once again, select retailers carrying the sneakers opted to run raffles for a chance to purchase the limited stock of the sneakers. Last week, Adidas opened its Confirmed app for customers in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The reservations were closed within 10 minutes.

Within hours of the release, eBay was flooded with more than 100 pairs of tan 350s – some priced as high as $2,000.
Adidas and Kanye West created unprecedented hype around the sneakers, with many coming up empty-handed for every release. In an interview with SHOWstudio in October, West said of the Yeezys: “We sell shoes that people want to line up for because we put love in them, we put heart in them, we want to make Christmas presents, we want to make something that people want so bad that it hurts them if they can’t have it.”

In recognition of this demand, Footwear News honored West with its “Shoe of the Year” award at the annual FN Achievement Awards earlier this month.
In his acceptance speech, West said Adidas designer Nic Galway was in China working on another Yeezy release. This has us thinking there will likely be more releases in 2016, so stay tuned.
