There’s nothing better than a fun sock moment. We at FN know that every shoe needs the help of a good friend, and this season’s bold socks are the perfect way to spruce up your closet’s most tired footwear. Your Stan Smiths feeling a little run-down? Amp them up with a color-blocked sock. Your black laceups too conservative for your liking? There’s an orange cashmere style just for you.
Standout brands include Happy Socks, Hook & Albert, Thomas Pink and Arthur George (yes, Robert Kardashian’s sock line).
Lively sock styling has been a trend on the runway, with designers embracing the idea of clashing and color-blocking. N. 21 paired fuzzy socks with crisscross sandals, proving that the normcore trend is not dead yet, while Acne Studios went to the extreme with faux metallic socks attached to its hiker boots.
Even the women’s shows hopped on the idea, with Stella Jean sending out whimsical tasseled socks paired with stiletto sandals.

The key here is to match similar colors between the sock and shoe (keep warm colors together and cool tones together). That being said, all rules are off when it comes to prints. Stripes clashing with polka dots? Why not? Just remember that the look is a statement, so too many prints elsewhere can lead to disaster.
