Weekend Sneaker Releases: Nike, Adidas, Ewing Athletics and Brooks

The weekend is approaching, and a number of brands made sure you had plenty of sneakers to spend your paycheck on.

From Nike to Adidas, Brooks to Ewing Athletics, check out the sneakers available this weekend.

Nike Basketball Elite Series Rose Gold Collection

With one of its sponsored athletes with an Elite edition of his signature shoe still in the NBA playoffs, the brand will release three of its athlete’s signature shoes with a rose gold treatment Friday.

The LeBron 12 Elite will have a retail price tag of $275. The boot is predominantly black with metallic red bronze and hot lava accents, brought together with an icy outsole.

The upper on the Kobe X Elite is entirely black with the metallic red bronze swoosh and eyelets providing its only color. The outsole is white and hot lava with a translucent icy cover. The shoe has a $225 price tag.

The KD7 Elite has a $200 price tag and slightly different look than the rest of the pack. The Hyperposite upper has a rose gold tint to it, versus the predominantly black uppers of the LeBron 12 Elite and Kobe X Elite.

Ewing Athletics June Retro Collection

New York Knicks legend Patrick Ewing’s shoes will once again hit the market, with two silhouettes receiving the retro treatment. On Friday, fans of Ewing and sneakerheads can pick up two colorways of the 33 Hi and one colorway of the Rogue.

The 33 Hi colorways include the white-on-white and the Draft Lottery 30th Anniversary, an homage to the frozen envelope conspiracy theory that led the Georgetown University center to be drafted by the Knicks. The Draft Lottery colorway is white, royal and red with an icy outsole.

The Rogue colorway available Friday features a purple, teal and black upper, with white, purple and black outsole.

All three shoes have a price tag of $120.

Nike CJ3 Flyweave Trainer Georgia Peach

The latest signature training shoe of Detroit Lions superstar receiver Calvin Johnson pays homage to his Atlanta roots. The Georgia Peach will be available Friday with a $160 price tag. The shoe boasts the brand’s Flyweave technology on its predominantly black upper with white accents and sunset glow swoosh, and a white and sunset glow outsole. The highlight of the shoe though is the two peaches that adorn the heel.

Adidas Pride Pack

With LGBT Pride Month underway, German-based brand Adidas will release the Pride Pack, available June 6. The pack includes three pairs of the brand’s sneakers: the Adilette, the Stan Smith and the Superstar. The black Adilette slide with a multicolor strap will retail for $50; the white paint splattered Superstar will retail for $100; and the white Stan Smith with colored laces and subtle streaks on the side will retail for $100.

Bait x Brooks Fusion Oyster

West Coast-based retailer Bait teamed up with Brooks for the Saturday release of the Fusion Oyster. The shoe comes with two sets of leather laces – black and neutral — plus a leather interior and white outsole. The shoe will retail for $160 and is limited to 99 pairs.
