Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — professional wrestler, actor, former University of Miami defensive tackle — has added Under Armour brand ambassador to his resumé. To celebrate the new partnership, he posted a video on his Instagram account of what was shown to him when he visited the campus of the Baltimore-based athletic brand.
“Can’t thank UNDER ARMOUR enough for going ALL OUT to give me and my team a ‘red carpet welcome’ while we toured their incredible campus,” Johnson wrote on his Instagram account. “On this massive screen that plays for the entire office, they proudly showed this man’s diverse talents as a National Champion being able to sack FSU’s Heisman Trophy-winning QB to ‘Hittin’ the Quan’ like a straight G. This partnership is big and gonna be a helluva lot of fun.”
Johnson’s social media account features numerous photos and videos of him in the gym hitting the weights hard (and frequently dancing) in the latest and greatest shoes from Under Armour, mostly the first signature shoe for Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, the Curry One.

In another post via his Instagram account, the star of the TV show “Ballers” said the partnership with the brand “has been years in the making” and that “the goal is to bring you innovative and badass products that inspire men, women and kids to stay hungry, humble and always be the hardest workers in the room.”
In an email to Footwear News, Under Armour said a partnership with The Rock is still being worked out. “Under Armour and Dwayne Johnson have been building a relationship for years. We are currently discussing an official partnership and we are excited for what’s to come,” the brand said.
