Cleveland Cavaliers star guard Kyrie Irving may have had his start in the sport while living in West Orange, N.J., but the 23-year-old basketball player was born in Melbourne, Australia. As a nod to the country of his birth, Nike is set to release Irving’s signature shoe in the nation’s colors.
The Nike Kyrie 1 Australia will hit stores on Wednesday and will come with a $110 price tag.
The shoe features a teal-and-radiant emerald upper with green strike accents. The Nike Kyrie 1 Australia’s upper also boasts a metallic red-bronze spiked section near its heel, reminiscent of the Sydney Opera House. The shoe’s outsole is teal layered over green strike.
The Kyrie 1 features the brand’s Zoom unit in the forefoot and Phylon foam in the heel for cushioning, a mesh upper to keep the wearer’s feet cool and a herringbone pattern on the sole that wraps up the sidewalls for traction.

The Australia is the last Kyrie 1 release from Nike for August. The brand released the Kyrie 1 Rise on Saturday, with a black, gold and white upper on a white outsole. The first Kyrie 1 release from Nike for September will be the Green Glow, which is slated to hit stores on Sept. 16.
