L.A. Lakers’ Nick Young Wears Yeezy 750s In Game Against Houston Rockets

Nick Young is changing the way the world sees Yeezys. The Los Angeles Lakers guard wore the Yeezy 750s in Saturday night’s game against the Houston Rockets. It was surprising since the Yeezys are street sneakers not made for the court.

According to multiple sources, including ESPN, Young told the Associated Press that he just signed with Adidas.

“Welcome to the three stripes, Swaggy P,” he said. “And I had to come in with some style, and that’s basically what it’s all about.”

The shoes certainly aren’t built with the same support that basketball sneakers offer. But Young said post-game that he didn’t run into any issues.

“They actually felt good on my feet. I was worried about the same thing, but once I put them on and got out there on the court, it was just time to play.”

Even with Young’s footwear, plus his first assist to Kobe Bryant, the Lakers didn’t come out on top, losing 126-97.

Meanwhile, the Rockets’ James Harden signed a $200 million deal with Adidas in August, which kicked in on Oct. 1. Adidas delivered Harden a truck full of shoes and recently came out with a short film starring Harden.
