Mizuno Releases Wave Inspire 12 Running Shoe

Mizuno has released an updated version of its popular Wave Inspire running shoe. The Wave Inspire 12 makes use of Mizuno’s newest midsole foam technology called U4icX (eu-phor-ic-X), which is designed to eliminate stiffness that can be a problem with stability running shoes.

Mark Sheehan, Vice President of Product Management-Running at Mizuno, USA said in a statement that the shoes provide the built-in support and cushion runners need without adding extra weight and bulk.

“The dynamic mix of Mizuno technologies will enable runners to push further than ever with confidence and comfort,” he said.

The upper was also redesigned using 3D Fit technology, which is meant to provide a soft, but structured fit and hidden internal straps provide an ideal fit around the midfoot.

Mizuno USA, a subsidiary of Japan-based athletic firm Mizuno Corp., recently finished a new 520,000-sq.-ft. facility in Braselton, Ga. to handle the brand’s distribution in the United States, as well as some of its golf-product manufacturing.

The facility is a $40 million investment for the company and is expected to employ 225 workers there by 2024.
