Creative Recreation and Vibram have joined forces on two performance boot styles that became available this month.
The Baretto and Dio designs reflect Creative Recreation’s urban aesthetic, combined with Vibram’s durable soles. The Baretto hiking-inspired boot features a water-resistant tongue, branded ankle strap and laces designed for hiking. The Dio has a more fashion-forward look but also has weatherproof features. The style is offered with details such as a branded front strap and pull-tabs on the tongue and ankle for easy on and off.
Creative Recreation co-founder Rich Confinco returned to the brand, which he co-founded, in September 2014 after Rocky Brands acquired the label in 2013. In June, Rocky Brands CEO David Sharp said, “The creative direction is articulated extremely well. There’s an energy there today that wasn’t there before.”
Part of this energy and revival is the Vibram collaboration and a relaunch for spring ’16. Creative Recreation recently launched a reinterpretation of its best-selling shoe, the Adonis. The brand also released an updated version of its Cesario silhouette, the Cesario Lo Woven.
Both styles come in both black and wheat gum colorways and retail for $190 at select stores and CreativeRecreation.com.
