Converse received a largely favorable reaction when it released the Chuck Taylor All-Star II back in July, and since the Chuck 2’s initial release in four colorways, the brand had come out with just one new colorway, the Volt. Today, the Boston-based brand unveiled its holiday ’15 colorways.
Hitting stores on Wednesday are the Thunder and Bordeaux, which will have the same retail prices of $70 for the low oxford and the $75 for the high-top.
The Thunder features a gray upper with white toe cap and sole. The Bordeaux, a nod to the popular Air Jordan 7 Bordeaux colorway released in 1992, boasts a maroon upper with white toe cap and sole.
The shoes feature all of the elements that make the Chuck II distinct from the original Chuck Taylor All Star, including the elasticized non-slip tongue, embroidered All Star patch, perforated micro-suede lining, premium canvas upper, Lunarlon cushioning and monochromatic matte eyelets.
On Sept. 15, the brand released the Volt colorway of the Chuck II, also available in the low oxford and high-top, with retail prices of $70 and $75, respectively. The Volt is a nod to the color used in many shoes from Nike, the company that owns Converse, and the brand’s Lunarlon cushioning technology, which has volt in its logo.
