The classic look and ties to Michael Jordan make Air Jordan retro shoes appeal to both sneakerheads and basketball fans alike. But the Air Jordan 1 silhouette available this weekend, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Jordan Brand franchise, is unlike other recent Jordan releases, enhanced by premium materials and gold-plated detailing.
The Air Jordan 1 Pinnacle Baroque Brown drops Saturday at 10 a.m. and will retail for $400. The shoe is exclusive to Nike’s online store.
The shoe features a baroque brown full-grain leather upper with 24 karat gold detailing throughout, including its eyelets, lace dubrae, lace tips, Nike Air branding on the tongue, original winged branding near its collar, and heel logos. The shoe is brought together with its clean all-white sole.
Jordan brand unveiled its holiday collection in late September, which included different iterations of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High, including a University of North Carolina-inspired shoe (Powder Blue) and a version featuring a black upper and white sole.
The last Air Jordan 1 silhouette to hit stores was The Return, which dropped on Oct. 17 and retailed for $150. The shoe featured a white, blue and black upper with a white midsole and a blue outsole.
