MILAN – The news about only seven available pairs of the all black Yeezy Boost 750 at Milan-based street wear store Inner spread fast among the sneaker heads. A crowd of only about 80 people gathered in front of the store to get a ticket for the raffle, which the store distributed from 10:00 a.m. (CET).
Among the crowd were some lucky fans, who already raided other retailers before and were proudly showing off the new Yeezy 750. “I got a pair at AW Lab,” said Ji Zhi, a student at fashion school Polimoda. “We started queuing two days ago and were lucky to get a pair this morning,” he noted and showed off the all black Yeezy on his right foot and the grey model from the previous release on his left foot.
His friend Fairy Yang, a design student at Istituto Secoli was not that lucky in the morning and hoped to secure a pair at Inner. “I really want them. I was so mad that I didn’t get a pair and we might have to check out other stores if it doesn’t work out here, since they only have seven pairs,” she said.

Coming closer to 11:00 a.m., tension among the waiting crowd increased, which was a mix of die-hard fans wearing previous releases, such as the Yeezy Boost 350 Moonrock and the 950 duck boots, and people looking to resell the sneaker boots online.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m., store manager Davide Marre fittingly drew the seven winning numbers out of a shoe box and while winners couldn’t believe their luck and started screaming, the not so lucky fans quickly left with disappointed faces on their way to some of the other retailers in Milan.
