Brazil’s Alexandre Birman swooped into New York City via São Paulo to host a dinner in honor of his most popular stiletto, the Clarita. “Let’s make this the No. 1 luxury heel in America,” he said to FN as guests took their seats in the penthouse of the Nomad Hotel.
Squeals of delight could soon be heard down the footwear-and-flora-strewn table as attendees opened what appeared to be the dinner menu but was in fact a card to order their very own custom Clarita.
Options included python, metallic leathers, fur and suede in a range of vivid hues, offered in two heel heights. Place cards also featured colorful drawings of the Clarita with guests names as the stiletto.
Attendees included Garance Dorè, model Alina Baikova and Nausheen Shah.

The twist-tie stiletto sandal has already been worn by Candice Swanepoel, Elsa Hosk, Eva Longoria, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ruth Wilson. Birman even custom-designed a pair for his wife, Johanna, in a tonal palette of rouge hues. “I’ve worn my caramel suede ones to death,” she said. “So I actually really need a new pair. Of course, I let him choose for me.” Talk about one of a kind.
