Channing Tatum Dances in Nike Kicks For ‘Magic Mike XXL’ First Trailer

Updated: If the teaser trailer wasn’t enough (which it really wasn’t) the longer official “Magic Mike XXL” has landed.

While we’re definitely all about the shoes, we have to admit they weren’t the only part of the trailer that caught our attention.

Earlier we reported:

Magic Mike is back — and better than ever. Star Channing Tatum premiered the “Magic Mike XXL” trailer today in a surprise appearance  on “The Ellen Show.”

“There’s very little left to the imagination,” Tatum told Ellen. “That’s why the movie is popular, Channing,” she quipped.

In the trailer, we see abs, abs and more abs as Tatum dances to “Pony” by Ginuwine, the song that played during one of Magic Mike’s most popular dance sequences in the first film.

Tatum’s stripper costumes don’t usually include much clothing, but he’s always wearing sneakers. In the clip, Magic Mike and fellow dancer Ken, played by Matt Bomer, are wearing black-and-white Nike kicks for a major performance.

“I waxed last time, and I promised myself I was not gonna do it again,” Tatum said. “And then Matt Bomer goes, ‘No, no, you just didn’t have the right lady. She just wasn’t doing it right.’ And then I went again, and it sucked just as bad.”

Newcomers Amber Heard and Stephen “Twitch” Boss also feature in the trailer, as well as the rest of the Kings of Tampa, including Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez and Kevin Nash.

This time around, it’s three years since Mike retired from stripping, and he reunites with the rest of the gang for a blowout final performance in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
