Kanye West debuted his Yeezy 750 Boost high-tops from Adidas at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night. The rapper returned to the Grammy stage after a six-year absence, performing his new single “Only One” and putting his new Yeezy kicks firmly on display.
West’s new sneakers look similar to his original Nike collaboration, including the strap across the toe, but the Adidas design seems to be a departure from the Nike Air Yeezy’s athletic-inspired look.

It looks like the whole team will be sporting his new shoe. Kim Kardashian posted a photo on Instagram of the Yeezy 750 Boosts being shipped to Jay Z, Big Sean, Diddy and Kylie Jenner, among others.
The unveiling of the Adidas collaboration wasn’t the only news of the night for the rapper. West, who infamously took the mic from Taylor Swift during her win at the 2009 VMAs, almost pulled the same stunt at the Grammy Awards when Beck won the award for Best Album over Beyoncé. As Beck was about to start his speech, West ran up on stage to interrupt, but decided to turn around. Most people thought it was a joke, as laughs ensued from Beyoncé and Jay Z (though right before West turned around, Jay Z looked on in horror).
I love how horrified Jay-Z is when Kanye runs on stage, then laughs when he knows* it’s a joke https://t.co/GzgppFbCCU *thinks (sigh)

It turns out West wasn’t kidding. After the show, he appeared on the “E! After-Party” special, hosted by his sister-in-law Khloé Kardashian, and went on a rant.
“All I know is if the Grammys want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain’t gonna play with them no more. ‘Flawless,’ Beyoncé video. Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé, and at this point, we tired of it,” he said live on air. “By the way, I got my wife, my daughter, and my clothing line, so I’m not going to do nothing to put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity. That’s the reason why I didn’t say anything tonight. But you all know what it meant when ‘Ye walks on the stage.”
Beck has since responded to the incident and told reporters, “I was so excited he was coming up! He deserves to be on that stage. You can’t please everybody. I still love him and think he’s genius. I aspire to what he does. How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?”
