Tyga hit the Las Vegas strip to launch his latest L.A. Gear collaboration at Footaction on Sunday, Oct. 4. The new Liquid Silver L.A. Lights sneaker is the next highly-anticipated colorway, which follows the pairings first release of the Liquid Gold L.A. Lights shoe. The latest version comes in a metallic silver upper and a white sole with signature lights in the heel.
The rapper celebrated the launch at Footaction’s newest location in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood by meeting fans and signing autographs.
L.A. Gear first announced its brand relaunch and collaboration with Tyga — acting as brand ambassador and creative advisor — in March 2015. During that time, L.A. Gear released only 500 pairs of the Liquid Gold shoes, featuring a solid metallic-gold upper with black highlights and a black outsole with lights in the heel. The brand has since been working with the “Ayo” rapper to create more retrospective styles including the Black Nubuck L.A. Gear Lights by Tyga, which were released in May.
“We are proud to partner with Footaction on the unveiling of the Liquid Silver L.A. Lights,” said L.A. Gear president, Lance Jackson, in a statement. “We believe this partnership is a perfect fit for our loyal customers and where better to have debuted our new launch than at [Footaction’s] new location.”
