Salvatore Ferragamo‘s spring ’16 men’s collection featured a new, youthful focus for the luxury label. While the offering still included Ferragamo’s classic dress shoes, from laceups to monkstraps, it also included more trend-focused styles, like sneakers and sandals, which dominated the men’s market last spring.
The core collection included leather laceup dress shoes, some with simple toe caps and others finished with broguing details. A few styles had flatform sneaker soles, which is certainly a play on the rad trad dress trend seen everywhere lately. Tasseled loafers were also updated in sprightly hues of red and green leather.
The brand’s take on sandals and sneakers maintained its high-end feel. Double-strap sandals were made in leather and raffia, combined via a subtle chevron print. Sneakers also came in embossed leathers with thick zigzag soles, as well as front panels of leather for added design detail.
