Alexander Wang showed his final collection for Balenciaga today in Paris after three years with the French label. He marked the occasion by taking over Balenciaga’s official Instagram, sharing snaps leading up to the show.
His all-white, silky lace collection was paired with sheer white slipper slides adorned with flowers, contrasting with his personal signature all-black style. For his final bow, he ran around the entire runway filming the scene with his phone, all while wearing black Yeezy Boost 350s.
Earlier today, he posted a photo of his Yeezys with shoe covers on them so as to not get the pristine carpet dirty at the show venue.

And the final song of the show? “California Love” by 2pac, perhaps an homage to his home state of California and a hint at his departure from the French fashion scene to focus on growing his eponymous American brand.
“It’s been an incredible experience to work with a couture house in Paris. I am honored to have had the opportunity to work for this historical maison,” Wang said in a statement in July. “I would like to thank the brilliant team at Balenciaga for their collaboration and for what we have accomplished together, and I am looking forward to taking my own brand to its next level of growth.”
As for those hip kicks, it’s no surprise Wang was sporting Yeezys. He was on hand to watch Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 2 show at New York Fashion Week last month.
Balenciaga’s parent company, Kering, has not yet announced a successor.
