Giuseppe Zanotti is rocking out on the stars who are inspiring him right now. “I love a lot of celebrities, especially from the music world: Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys and Kanye West,” he told FN Spy.

“They are style icons and have great talent. Their music entwines with art and entertainment, so they can be inspirational for a designer.”

After Rita Ora recently wore custom Zanotti over-the-knee high boots for an ‘X-Factor’ event, the designer told FN, “Rita loves over-the-knee boots, the higher the better,” said Zanotti. “When I made this red croc-embossed boot, I wanted to make a statement piece. The shape enhances the silhouette while the chunky heel makes it comfortable and gives the look a modern touch.”

When he’s not moving to the music, the designer likes to unwind with a little vino. “I would normally say I [relax] with a good glass of red wine, but it’s time for a change — iced white wine.”
