Tyra Banks Wears Sky-High Heels As Host of the 42nd Daytime Emmy Awards
At the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards, held on April 26 at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, Calif., supermodel and “America’s Next Top Model” host Tyra Banks led the festivities wearing four separate looks.
The star hit the red carpet in a custom Bryan Hearns black jumpsuit with sharp shoulders and a high neckline — a perfect complement to her pixie-cropped hair. She paired the all-black outfit with sky-high black pointy-toe Gianvito Rossi pumps.
In fact, all four of Banks’ looks for the evening were designed by Bryan Hearns, including more than one jumpsuit. At one point, the star ended up on the stage floor in her red dress and metallic gold Manolo Blahnik pumps after dropping the mic. She tweeted shortly afterward, cleverly turning the moment into a social media opportunity, urging followers to #StopDropPose — and tweet her the picture.
We’re just glad the mishap wasn’t due to her shoes. We’ve seen even the most professional catwalkers trip up.
