For her new role as a judge on the UK’s ‘X Factor,’ Rita Ora looks like she’s hoping to put her best foot forward. The singer arrived to a taping of auditions for the show in Manchester, England wearing custom red Giuseppe Zanotti croc-embossed over-the-knee boots with a contrasting gold side-zipper.
Fitting for her red carpet arrival, Ora paired her boots with a Versace belted mini dress with an asymmetrical hem from the fall ’15 collection, also in the same hue. Giuseppe Zanotti told FN he feels honored to create custom-made shoes for musicians such as Ora.
“Rita loves over-the-knee boots, the higher the better,” said Zanotti. “When I made this red croc-embossed boot, I wanted to make a statement piece. The shape enhances the silhouette while the chunky heel makes it comfortable and gives the look a modern touch.”
Ora isn’t the first musician for which Zanotti has designed custom shoes. Miley Cyrus wore Zanotti-designed sparkling platform sandals on her Bangerz Tour.
Nicki Minaj and FKA Twigs have also worn dramatic, over-the-knee boots by the designer. Minaj rocked a gold pair on her PinkPrint tour, which runs through August. FKA Twigs wore Zanotti custom boots during her latest three-night concert run in New York City this past May.
