Fashion month isn’t so much a sprint as it is a marathon, and one run in very stylish shoes.
Starting in New York City, the stars stepped out with their best footwear game. The Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandal was the shoe of the moment in New York, with sightings on everyone from Ciara to Chloe Grace Moretz in the front row. Heels were the key story in the Big Apple.
By the time attention focused on London Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week, the stars in the front row were winning the shoe race in the Gucci fur loafer.
Alexa Chung wore it best in the front row at Gucci, though it was also spotted often as the must have street style shoe of the week. Cara Delevingne made a front row appearance at Burberry just a day after the premiere of her new film “Pan” wearing a pair of ’90s inspired booties by the house from the new collection.
Paris too, was a big moment for standout shoes, and Janelle Monae was one winner of the week in both Sophia Webster and Nicholas Kirkwood designs, letting her bold shoe style do a lot of the talking. Rihanna stood out in Dior’s latex boots, which stole the limelight on the sidewalks outside the famous fashion house’s latest runway show.
