Coach has announced plans to relocate its London store, currently at 76-78 Regent Street, in fall 2016. The New York-based brand signed an agreement to take over Jaeger’s 27,500-sq.-ft. space at 200-206 Regent Street.
The space will also house the first Stuart Weitzman store on the iconic shopping street, which includes both high-street and luxury retailers.
Coach Inc. purchased Stuart Weitzman from Sycamore Partners in January for $574 million. The buy was Coach’s first acquisition.
“We are delighted to bring Coach and Stuart Weitzman together at this iconic location, while maintaining their unique identities with individual stores and spaces for each brand,” said Coach CEO Victor Luis in a statement.
Coach’s Europe President, Nigel Darwin, said the move demonstrates Coach’s commitment to brand transformation and development in Europe. Coach recently opened a flagship store on Paris’ Rue Saint-Honoré.
Management and development group The Crown Estate, which manages Regent Street, brokered the agreement.
“These two brands will both strengthen the offer to our customers and further underpin Regent Street’s position as a world-class flagship destination for successful global luxury brands,” said The Crown Estate asset manager Katerina Mercury.
Coach is planning the store opening to coincide with its 75th anniversary celebrations in 2016.
