Foot Locker, Jordan Brand Release Holiday Ad Featuring Russell Westbrook

Foot Locker has just released a new 60-second TV ad featuring NBA star Russell Westbrook. The retailer partnered with Jordan Brand for “Fly Your Own Way,” which encourages customers to stay true to themselves.
Westbrook is seen sitting in a hotel lobby, wearing Jordans, when a young fan approaches him and says he just got the Jordan XX9 Low sneakers from Foot Locker so he can be just like Westbrook.
The two are interrupted by a handful of TV personalities, including ESPN analyst Jalen Rose, CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Melissa Rivers, Dr. Phil and more. Each tells the fan that the odds of him becoming Westbrook are slim.
Westbrook shuts them down, telling the young boy to just be himself.

“I always have fun working with Foot Locker and Jordan Brand, but this commercial was particularly memorable with so many different people and well-known personalities,” said Westbrook. “This holiday season I want to inspire my fans to stay true to themselves and be who they are.”
Foot Locker was honored on Wednesday evening with the Company of the Year award at FN’s Achievement Awards.
The commercial debuts on TNT on Thursday, and the featured Jordan XX9 Low sneaker debuts on Dec. 4.
Foot Locker has also created the Jordan Brand Holiday Wish List, which allows customers to make a personalized list of their favorite Jordan products and share these gift ideas through email and social media.
