Naomi Campbell is back in the spotlight at Burberry.
For the first time since 2001, the model stars in the spring/summer ’15 campaign. Campbell appears beside some other very famous faces, including Jourdan Dunn and musicians George Barnett and George Le Page.
The ads marks a continuation of Burberry’s strategy to pair legends with newcomers. The house introduced the concept back in September when Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne appeared together in the company’s fragrance ad.
The campaign, shot by fashion’s go-to photographer Mario Testino and conceptualized by creative director and CEO Christopher Bailey, draws on the colorful spring collection for inspiration. With bright trench coats and scarves, as well as playful handbags there are plenty of punchy pieces that standout. Burberry’s classic trench is the clear focus.
Besides the print campaign, a video gives fans a closer look at some of the standout shoe styles. A unique take on court sneakers (complete with candy-color stripes) and an open-toed bootie get lots of screen time, and for good reason — they’re among the standouts of the collection.
The campaign debuts across social media, print and digital media in January 2015.
