Alice + Olivia Launches Shoes with Shopbop

Alice + Olivia has found its wonderland.
 
The New York-based brand has partnered with Shopbop.com to unveil its inaugural footwear collection for spring ’11 with a playful short film created by founder Stacey Bendet and indie director Bridget Palardy.
 
The flick, which premieres today exclusively on Shopbop and features models frolicking in a surrealist fantasyland of cake confections, stars two Alice + Olivia footwear styles — the Juliet wedge sandal in black, white and leopard and the Dahlia sequin ballet flat in black, silver and gold.
 
Set to music by indie rock band the Noisettes, the film “captures the Alice + Olivia irreverent femininity immersed in an intensely sensory experience,” said Shopbop Fashion Director Kate Ciepluch. “[It’s] an inspired way to introduce the shoe collection.”
 
The styles, priced at $195 for the flat and $245 for the wedge, are sold at Shopbop.

Alice + Olivia previously partnered with Payless ShoeSource on a lower-priced line of footwear, but this marks its first independent offering of shoes.
