Nike and Undercover are coming hot and heavy with their Daybreak releases this year. With four colorways hitting shelves in the past two months alone, we now have a look at next week’s drop, which covers the silhouette in University Red.
Jun Takahashi’s close ties to Nike have ensured that there is always something in the works between the Swoosh and Japanese streetwear label Undercover. So far this year, the two have released a grand total of 6 different shoes, four of which are different iterations of Undercover’s signature take on the Nike Daybreak. While these pairs are still fresh in our minds, Nike is moving forward with the more colorways, both of which will drop next week. The two new colorways are rumored to be released in a more female-friendly size range than the originals, allowing more sneakerheads to grab their pairs. First up, the silhouette takes on the Swoosh’s signature tone of University Red, which is applied to the nylon uppers as well as the stiff TPU heel clip. The suede overlays are dyed in a light grey tone, while black leather Swooshes and black suede heel counters complete the look.

Undercover’s latest colorways of their signature Nike Daybreak have been scheduled to release next week, on August 1st, 2019. The eye-catching red colorway for women will launch alongside the unisex navy blue & gold pair, both retailing for the same $160 price tag.
