Stüssy and Nike are gearing up to release their first collaboration of 2024, a beach-ready project with the LD-1000 at its center. The collection releases on Friday, but if you miss out, fear not; the two are rumored to be releasing another trio of colors for the retro runner later this year.
Stüssy and Nike have a long and storied history of collaborations together. The Los Angeles surf brand was the first streetwear company of its kind to have a collaboration with a sneaker brand, kicking off the sneaker culture we know and love in the year 2000 with the Air Huarache. The two have reunited regularly since then, but ever since 2020 they have amped up their releases, with at least two collections releasing each year.
This week brings us the first collection from the longtime partners of 2024. Featuring the LD-1000, an elusive runner from Nike’s ’70s archive, the project is beach-ready, with UV-safe apparel and warm fleece. Ahead of the project’s release, we have word that the LD-1000 from Stüssy will return later this year, taking on a trio of new colors. While no images are available yet, mock-ups and leaked details point to the three styles being “Particle Grey”, “Sanded Gold”, and “Pinksicle”, each with a unique embroidered Swoosh accent.

The next collection from Stüssy and Nike has been scheduled to release later this week, on August 2nd, 2024. Once again featuring the retro LD-1000 runner, this project will include colorways in Particle Grey, Sanded Gold, and Pinksicle, releasing from both partners for $110 each. UPDATE 7/30/24: Stüssy has announced their next release of the Nike LD-1000, scheduled for August 2nd, 2024. So far, the “Sanded Gold” and “Particle Grey” pairs will be available from the brand’s website, with the former also releasing on SNKRS on August 9th.
