After the debut of their ‘Silver Linings’ colorway of the Nike Mac Attack last month, Social Status has a second colorway slated for the end of August, dubbed ‘Social Currency’.
Nike has finally revived the Mac Attack this year, bringing back John McEnroe’s signature sneaker from the 1980s for the first time ever. As part of the return, the brand has handed the keys to Social Status for a collection of colorways that feature tear-away details on the uppers. The first ‘Silver Linings‘ pair released in July, and this week we got an official look a the green & orange ‘Social Currency’ pair that is set to release on August 25th. This pair follows the same white and cream blocking as the first, with the heels, collars, and Swooshes in a metallic green textile. These pieces can be removed, showing a bright campfire orange suede underneath. Additionally, Social Status originally teased four colorways in this collection. With two already taken care of, we expect to see the blue and black pairs arrive sometime later this year.

Social Status’ next release of the Nike Mac Attack is scheduled to drop late this month, on August 25th, 2023. The ‘Social Currency’ colorway, which features green layers that tear away to reveal bright orange underneath, will be available from the Charlotte-based retailer with a price tag of $140.
