adidas Originals has a new partnership this year, tapping The Simpsons to collaborate on a series of sneakers themed after the legendary shows’ characters. First up, we have an early look at Krusty the Clown’s “Krusty Burger” ZX 10000.
Fans of The Simpsons have quite the year to look forward to. This week, we got an early look at two new sneaker/streetwear projects featuring the Springfield family, first from Ronnie Fieg’s Kith, and now, from adidas Originals. The latter was shared exclusively through this early look at a sneaker release from the Three Stripes, which decorates the ZX 10000 with a Krusty the Clown color scheme. The upcoming “Krusty Burger” ZX 10000 features an all-canvas construction with unique color blocking and high contrast tones. The shoe begins with a plain white canvas base layer, reinforced by brown overlays for the lacing system, forefoot, and collar. The mudguard comes in cream white with a bold red mid-layer peeking out from underneath, while the quarter panel stripes match Krusty’s teal green hair, half-hidden under a pink suede overlay. The heel cup also evokes the image of Krusty’s hair through a teal green fleece layer, locked in place with a white TPU heel counter. Each layer of the shoe features bound edges in black, lending an outlined-like look to the “Krusty Burger” ZX 10000.

The upcoming collaboration between adidas Originals and The Simpsons has not yet been scheduled for release, let alone been announced officially to the public. However, we are expecting the project to debut sometime in the next few weeks thanks to the presence of adidas’ official on-white images. The colorful Krusty Burger-themed ZX 10000 will likely launch from both adidas and select retailers, with an elevated price tag. UPDATE 2/9/2021: adidas Originals has announced the release date of the upcoming ZX 10000 “Krusty Burger”, slated to drop later this week on February 27th, 2021. An ode to the Simpson’s universe fast-food franchise, the Krusty Burger ZX 10K will be available from both adidas and select retailers.
