French outdoor brand Salomon is pulling one of their classics from the archives to revive in 2025. The XT-Whisper originally launched at the turn of the century, but returns over two decades later, kicking things off with this “Treetop” color scheme.
Salomon’s outdoor-minded trail running shoes have exploded in popularity over the last few years, thanks to their excellent durability and their flashy, tech-forward style. The French brand’s most popular models are their running styles, which have been repurposed for lifestyle wear with some slight tweaks. Now, they are beginning to rerelease archival models for casual wear, with a new style returning for 2025.
The XT-Whisper from Salomon originally arrived in 2000, at the turn of the century. The model was designed as a women’s version of their XT-Hawk (also rumored to return in 2025), but has since disappeared from their catalog. Now, the Whisper is back for the new year, but Salomon has already released their first style; a bright “Treetop” green color. The pair features brown overlay accents and a hint of neon green, with red branding running down the tongues.

Salomon’s first pair of their early-2000s XT-Whisper has already launched this week, and is currently available directly from the brand’s website. Dressed in a bright “Treetop” green color with brown and neon green accents, pairs are available for an easy $140 price tag.
