New Balance’s Numeric team, their in-house skateboarding division, has been hard at work on exciting collaborations this year. This week, Premier has unveiled their latest, taking on the 480 and giving it a morel mushroom theme.
Michigan’s Premier skate shop has released some excellent collaborative sneakers over the years, but this month they are stepping their game up a notch. Teaming up with New Balance, the retailer is using their popular 480 skate shoe as a canvas, giving the Numeric model a look inspired by the gem of early Spring – morel mushrooms.
Premier’s mushroom-themed take on the 480 features a full leather upper, with a warm grey base and lighter off-white hues for the shoe’s main panels. The overlay features a morel cap pattern embossed into it, while the N logos and tongue tags are made of a leather-like textile produced from the bodies of mushrooms. The shoe also come with an extra set of laces, and are packaged inside a foraging bag.

Premier skate shop and New Balance have scheduled their latest project to release this Saturday, November 23rd, 2024. The Morel mushroom-themed 480 will be available from the store’s website for $130, releasing at 2PM ET. Matching hoodies and socks will also be available.
