Nike has officially revealed the Zoom Freak 2 in a variety of different debut colors but the one that stands out the most is the first colorway that leaked dubbed, “Naija”‘.
Earlier this year when the Zoom Freak 2 surfaced it showcased this green edition that we now know is dedicated to Nigeria’s Soccer team. while Ginnis has been spot on with his story-telling through his signature shoes, this rendition is no different. Nigeria, the birthplace of Giannis’ parents, loved soccer and used the game as a way of bonding with their loved ones as well as an outlet for self-expression. This was no different in Giannis’ family as his father bonded with him and his brothers through the game and instilled love in them for soccer and the Nigerian team.
This rendition houses a design that’s dedicated to the Nigerian jerseys showcasing the same color palette as well as the same materials. Featuring a white mesh upper along with bright green tongues, plant branches are place in, in an all0ver fashion which creates an interesting look. Black Nike Swooshes provide branding on the side paneling while bright green paints the midsole and inner sockliner. Giannis’s logo is then placed perfectly on the heels.

The Nike Zoom Freak 2 “Naija” will be releasing this month just in time for the return of the NBA season. They’ll be available via select Nike retailers and Nike.com for a retail price of only $130.
