Nike’s Waffle One Crater Dons a Soft Shade of “Cream” For Summer

The Nike Waffle One is the latest sneaker from the Swoosh to revitalize their vintage footwear, this time revamping the classic waffle-soled shoe invented by Bill Bowerman in the ’60s. Check out the Waffle One “Crater” in cream, coming soon.

Nike’s new Waffle One silhouette is finally here, launched originally as a special project with Social Status as well as via the brand’s Nike By You customization platform. Then, last week, the Waffle finally landed in its first in-line color scheme, which can still be found directly from Nike as well as at select retailers. This week, we have an early look at the next Waffle One in the Swoosh’s Crater family, the subcategory now used to denote shoes with a large percentage of recycled materials used in their construction. Coming soon, this new “Cream” look begins with a faded pink underlay in the shoe’s toe box, before transitioning to the namesake off-white tone for the rest of the upper’s layers. The Swoosh and laces come in white to contrast, while the recycled Grind Rubber midsole completes the look.
