Nike’s classic Blazer basketball sneaker has transcended its original purpose, now operating as one of the Swoosh’s most popular lifestyle offerings of the year. And while the Blazer is excellent in its original leather and suede format, Nike’s penchant for updating various sneakers from their past has struck again, transforming the Blazer Mid ’77 with new tech, and a new Jumbo-sized Swoosh. While some may prefer the original, this update is not without its merits, sporting some helpful new additions like a flexible knit collar section, allowing you to slip in and out with ease, unlike pretty much every other iteration of the Blazer, ever. Additionally, a new rugged outsole provides some extra grip in slippery situations.

Nike Sportswear’s modern-day take on the Blazer, featuring oversized Swooshes, has been scheduled to debut next month, on November 4th, 2021. Launching in Black and Dark Russet colorways, pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers with a price tag of $110.
