Nike SB debuted a new model this Summer, the PS8. Leaning heavily on technical innovation, the model launched with the famous Safari print on it. Now, they are paying homage to the Air Safari shoe with a special new color scheme.
Nike SB’s PS8 is a wild step in skate shoe innovation, combining performance elements from Nike’s basketball and running departments and applying them to skateboarding. Featuring a carbon fiber FlyPlate in the sole and a FlyKnit upper, the PS8 is built to last.
This week, we have an early look at a new style of the PS8 that takes inspiration from the Nike Air Safari and its OG color scheme from 1987. That specific shoe got a retro release back in July, and now, the look is coming to the new SB model. Featuring a mix of monarch orange and black for the shoe’s FlyKnit elements, the signature Safari print appears on the toes and heels to complete the look.

Nike SB’s new colorway of their PS8 skate shoe has not been given a set release date yet, but is expected to arrive sometime later in 2024. Featuring a a Monarch orange colorway inspired by the Air Safari, pairs will be available from Nike and SB skate shop accounts for $130.
