Nike has been hard at work revamping their Kobe lineup after working out a new contract with his widow, Vanessa Bryant, back in 2022. This year, they are adding a new “Black Lightning” Kobe 6 Proto to their Fall slate.
Nike’s Kobe lineup has grown considerably over the last year, as they continue to push new and classic colorways of some of our favorite models in their Protro format. The earlier Kobe silhouettes have been the main focus, with a large emphasis on the 6 in the last few months. More and more new styles of the performance retro continue to pop up, with a new “Black Lightning” edition surfacing today.
The latest pair of the Kobe 6 Protro to emerge is only known on paper at the moment, as no pairs have found their way to leakers or retailers yet. Dubbed “Black Lightning”, the look is expected to feature a largely black base, with accent colors in Lightning and University Gold yellow, as well as a hint of Volt green.
