This past week we saw a total of four different Dunk colorways drop and the momentum of the sneaker looks to only increase from there. Now Nike will be honoring the 1999 City Attack Pack with this new “Flip The Old School” release.
Nike has always done a great job with storytelling and with this Dunk Low, they did just that. Taking the beloved City Attack Pack for inspiration yet another time, this time around the Dunks are covered in box paper honoring the old College Colors campaign which allows the user to tear away and reveal all or portions of the sneaker in a unique fashion.
When torn away, the pair of Dunks arrives in a mismatched form with the left being in a primary color of Purple/White and the right being White/Purple. Throughout the leather build, smooth leather adorns panelings while the overlay system arrives in a new updated look, displaying exotic ostrich leather. Flipped Nike Swoosh and Nike logos are placed on the heels and sides while gold Nike tongue tags pop on the tongues which will create a lot of demand in itself. The new theme will then be finished off by insoles matching the wrapping paper, white rubber midsole, and purple outsoles.
