Nike’s Air Max Sunder releases continue to ramp up as we close in on 2025, with a wealth of new styles expected in the coming months. Next week, a new “Obscura” pair is scheduled to arrive, inspired by the darkness of Nordic winters.
The Air Max Sunder is finally here, after Nike teased the return of the obscure running shoe early this year. Several classic and new colorways have found their way to shelves over the past few months, with more pairs on the way in 2025. Additionally, Kids of Immigrants has two pairs on the way this season, and next week Nike is releasing their first in-line special-edition pair.
The “Obscura” Sunder surfaced this week at a few European retailers, which may allude to this being a regional exclusive drop. The new look takes inspiration from the darkness of Nordic winters, giving the shoe a new mesh upper and simple color scheme. The mesh panels and leather overlays come in Phantom white, with a hint of grey for the plastic pieces. The rest of the shoe comes in an inky black shade, with bright orange insoles to complete the look.
