Nike’s initial release of the Air Max Sunder arrived last week, but there are still more colors releasing in August. Now, a new style has surfaced in official images this week, dressing the shoe in black and metallic gold, coming in Fall 2024.
Nike’s first-ever retro release of the Air Max Sunder is finally here, with the Canyon Gold pair dropping late last week. Originally released in 1999, the runner has become an exciting release over the past year, after a CdG collaboration originally revived the shoe back in 2022. Teased by the brand last Fall, there are still more neon colorways releasing this Summer, with “Electric Green” and “Fuschia Flash” pairs arriving in August. This week, another look has joined the release lineup for this Fall.
The latest addition to Nike’s retro lineup of the Air Max Sunder has appeared in official images this week, meaning a release is likely coming in the next few months. Dressed in a shiny “Metallic Gold” color scheme, the pair is cast largely in black for its base layers, taking over the shoe’s neoprene outer shell and midsoles. The golden shade is added to the shoe’s overlays, trim, and Nike branding, while 3M accents complete the look.
