Nike’s Air Max 1 remains one of their most iconic silhouettes, since its debut in the 1980s. This season, the shoe’s Premium edition has appeared in a new “Burgundy Crush” color scheme, coming soon.
After years of being one of Nike’s most closely guarded silhouettes, the Air Max 1 finally went large in 2020, rolling out the classic model in a vast range of colorways. Over the last few years, the Swoosh has kept the shoe a a steady part of their rotation, bringing tons of new styles and special edition releases, as well as a handful of Premium edition colors.
This week, a new addition to the Premium line up has surfaced, coming later in 2024. This new look takes on the “Burgundy Crush” shade that Nike has been fond of this year, mixing it grey and taupe elements. The underlay comes in a metallic silver mesh textile, with taupe grey shaggy suede for the midfoot panels. Burgundy leather rounds out the look, with just a hint of gold branding for the Nike Air logos on each heel.

Nike’s latest colorway of their Air Max 1 Premium edition does not have a set release date yet, but is expected to arrive later in 2024. The “Burgundy Crush” style, with metallic silver mesh and taupe suede will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $150.
