Nigo and Nike are kicking off their new partnership this week with the first release of the Air Force 3 from the Japanese designer. Already, we have an early look at another pair of the shoe in “British Tan” coming later this year.
Japanese streetwear designer Nigo, the founder of BAPE, has a new Nike partnership that kicks off this year. After teasing his colorful takes on the Air Force 3 during runway shows earlier this year, the first two styles are finally set to release this week through a HumanMade pop-up shop in Tokyo, followed by a global release next week.
Even before the debut of his first Nike shoe, we already have an early look at the next release of the Nigo Air Force 3. Supposedly dropping during this year’s holiday season, the new style is more tame in its color scheme, instead opting for unusual materials and patterns to bring the new look to life. This style features a faux hair base for the upper in a light tan shade, adding dark brown patterned overlays in leather, and an orange-brown accent around the heels and collars.
