New Balance is officially celebrating its long-standing 99x series this year, releasing limited-edition colorways of each major version leading up to the 990v6. For now, check out the 990 Version 1, coming next week.
New Balance’s 99x series has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, driving New Balance to produce more and more pairs of the most popular versions. This week, the Boston brand has announced a special series of releases celebrating their most well-known running line, delivering the shoes in their original color schemes leading up to the release of the 99x line’s latest addition, 2022’s 990v6. Naturally, New Balance is kicking things off from the very beginning, releasing the classic 990v1 in deep grey mesh and suede, white New Balance N’s, and a tiny “Version 1” tag standing out in red on the lateral sides. It goes without saying that New Balance has opted to produce these pairs as MADE in USA, ensuring a high level of quality for the upcoming 990v2, v3, v4, and v5 releases we are likely to see throughout the rest of the year.
