New Balance’s Made in USA 993 “Mushroom” Drops in September

New Balance’s 993 returns to the Made in USA line this month, and already we have early looks at what other colors we can expect for the rest of this Seasonal Collection. This week, a September release surfaced, casting the shoe in a “Mushroom” brown color scheme, paired with purple and yellow accents.

Teddy Santis’ creative direction for the New Balance Made in USA line has brought us a wide range of classic silhouettes from the Boston brand, swapping out some styles for new ones when they’ve run their course. This year’s new addition for Fall/Winter 2024 is the 993, a chunky 2008 running model that has been an on and off piece of the brand’s catalog ever since its debut.

The current Seasonal Collection is set to kick off later this week, with new colors for the 990v6, as well as the debut of the 993 in a “Castlerock” color palette. Ahead of that launch, we now have an early look at a new “Mushroom” pair of the runner, currently slated for a September release. This pair features a dark mauve mesh base layer, Mushroom brown suede outer paneling, and vibrant purple and yellow accents for the tongues, heels, and inner linings.
