New Balance introduced the 991v2 in the tail half of 2023. Upgrading their 2001 runner with a new form, the model joined their Made in UK division. Now, a new “Black” color scheme is set for a 2024 release.
New Balance’s 991v2 has added more releases to the 2024 calendar. After debuting in Fall in collaboration with Stone Island, the Boston brand followed up quickly with a two-piece release from Patta. Since then, they’ve released a few in-line colors, building up their classic arsenal of plain styles. This week, another has joined that lineup, this time dressing the shoe in black. The look begins with a dark grey mesh base layer, adding a mid layer in lighter grey. The outer layers of suede come in black, all of which is held together by off-white laces. The midsole features a flash of blue cushioning to complete the look.
