New Balance’s 991v2 has become a staple for their Made in UK program, dropping new colors each month. This week, we have an early look at a new grey & orange combination, coming soon.
The 991v2 from New Balance is the latest update in a long line of different iterations on classic 990 sneakers. Introduced late last year on the heels of another updated model, the 990v6, the 991 has taken over as one of the mainstays of the brand’s Made in UK line, releasing regularly in new styles.
This week, one of the few remaining releases for 2024 has surfaced out of Flimby, England. This new style for the 991v2 takes after the WTAPS 992 from 2020, an immensely popular collaboration that was limited to just 1,000 pairs. Now, we have a second chance at the model with this muted grey & orange combo. The new pair sports shades of grey across its mesh, leather, and suede upper, with a faded olive green accent at the toes and heels. The safety orange shade adds pops of color to the tongues and midsole cushioning to complete the look.
