The New Balance 610 has been an underrated piece of the brand’s recent lineup since its return in 2023. This week, the retro trail runner has surfaced in a new three-piece “Washed Suede” collection, coming soon.
The 610 originally made its debut from New Balance in 2012, as a versatile trail running shoe, before entering their archives shortly afterward. It’s revival in 2023 marketed the decade old silhouette as an all-purpose, all-terrain lifestyle model, which is an apt description for an older performance model. The shoe had a number of collaborative efforts to kick off its return, and has since launched in a healthy dose of standard colors as well as a cool laceless version.
This week brings us an early look at a new collection of colorways from the Boston brand, dubbed the “Washed Suede” pack. Each style features a shaggy suede exterior in washed out tones. First up is the Dark Arctic Grey style which adds a cream white base and gunmetal grey accents. The second comes in Flat Taupe with the new “Ice Wine” shade of muted purple in mesh, and finally, the “Slate Grey” look which is paired with shades of brown.

New Balance’s next new styles of the 610 runner have not gotten an official release date yet, but are expected to arrive sometime in November 2024. United by their washed suede outer layers, the three color schemes will be available from both New Balance and select retailers for $120.
