New Balance is well known for their simple color schemes on their retro runners. Usually focusing on neutral palettes with an emphasis on grey tones, they’ve added more color to their catalog in the last few years. This week, we got an early look at a “New Spruce” style for the 1906R, coming soon.
The 2009 1906 from New Balance has been a strong addition to their catalog over the last few years, after its revival in 2022. The retro runner-turned-lifestyle silhouette has released in dozens of colorways and collaborations over the last few years, offering comfort and and style in nearly every color combination you could imagine. With the turn of the season almost here, fresh styles are lining up for their Fall release schedule.
This week we have an early look at some new styles for the 1906R slated to arrive throughout Fall 2024. One of our favorites is the “New Spruce” look coming in September, which pits some unusual colors together for a warm look. The pair featuresa mesh base in Pink Granite, adding its overlays in dark grey and silver, before a New Spruce green completes the look.

New Balance’s latest seasonal colors for their 1906R silhouette have not been released yet, and are expected to arrive in stores sometime in September 2024. This pair, which features the pink granite mesh and Spruce green accents, will be available from NB and select retailers for $155.
